Description
Wimboldsley, a township in Middlewich parish, Cheshire, on the river Weaver, 2 1/2 miles SW of Middlewich. It contains Minshull Vernon station on the L. & N.W.R. Occlestone township was in 1892 united with Wimboldsley. Acreage, with Occlestone, 1732; population, 219. Lea Hall, an old half-timbered moated mansion, is now a farmhouse.
