Wildboarclough, Cheshire

Wildboarclough, a township in Prestbury parish, Cheshire, 6 miles SE of Macclesfield. Acreage, 5066; population, 220. The township is ecclesiastically connected with Macclesfield Forest. A large portion of the surface is moorland. Shutlingslow is a hill 1658 feet above the level of the sea. There are stone quarries and a mission room. Crag Hall is the chief residence.
