Stockton Heath, a village in Great Budworth parish, and an ecclesiastical parish partly also in Runcorn parish, Cheshire. The village stands on the Bridgwater Canal, 1 mile S of Warrington, has a post, money order, and telegraph office under Warrington, and a police station. It carries on a manufacture of spades. The ecclesiastical parish was constituted in 1838. Population, 2460. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Chester; gross value, £162 with residence. The church was rebuilt in 1868. There are Primitive and Independent Methodist chapels.
