Haslington, a village, a township, and an ecclesiastical parish in Barthomley parish, Cheshire. The village stands 2 1/2 miles NE of Crewe, and has a post and money order office under Crewe; telegraph office, Crewe. The township and ecclesiastical parish are co-extensive, and include the hamlet of Oakhanges. Acreage, 3789; population, 1827. The ecclesiastical parish was constituted in 1860. Haslington Hall is now a farmhouse. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Chester; net value, £162 with residence. The church is a plain brick building erected about 1810. There are Congregational, Baptist, Primitive Methodist, and Wesleyan chapels.
