Frankby, a township and an ecclesiastical parish in West Kirby parish, Cheshire. The township lies 2 miles E of West Kirby, and 7 WSW of Birkenhead. It has a post and money order office under Birkenhead; telegraph office, Upton. Area of township, 571 acres; population, 221. The ecclesiastical parish was constituted in 1861. It includes also the greater part of the township of Greasby. Population, 501. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Chester; net value, £140 with residence. Patrons, the Dean and Chapter of Chester. The church was built in 1861, and consecrated March, 1862.
