Description
Cranage, a township in Sandbach parish, Cheshire, on the river Dane, 3 1/4 miles ENE of of Middlewich, 1 mile from Holmes Chapel station on the L. & N.W.R., and 5 miles N of Sandbach. Acreage, 1976; population, 382. Cranage Hall is the seat of the Armistead family. There is an endowed school.
