Description
Burwardsley, a township and an ecclesiastical parish in Bunbury parish, Cheshire, 4 1/2 miles SSW of Tarporley, on the W slope of Peckforton Hills. The railway station is at Tattenhall. Post town, Chester. Acreage, mostly pasture in small holdings, 1058; population, 383. The living is a .perpetual curacy in the diocese of Chester; net value, £87 with residence. Patrons, trustees. The church was built in 1735, and enlarged in 1889. There is a Primitive Methodist chapel.
