Description
Betchton, a township in Sandbach parish, Cheshire, 2 miles E of Sandbach. It includes the hamlet of Hassal Green. Acreage, 2665; population, 813. There is a chapel of ease at Hassal Green to Christ Church, Wheelock, and Primitive Methodist and Wesleyan chapels. There are extensive salt and chemical works.
