Harston, Cambridgeshire

Description
Harston, a village and a parish in Cambridgeshire. The village stands on the river Cam, near the ffitchin and Cambridge branch of the G.N.R., 5 miles SSW from Cambridge, and has a station on the railway, and a post, money order, and telegraph office under Cambridge. The parish comprises 1741 acres; population, 767. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Ely; net yearly value, £280 with residence.-Patron, the Bishop of Ely. The church is a fine building of stone in the Perpendicular style, and there is a Baptist chapel.
