Description
Croxton, a parish in Cambridgeshire, contiguous with Hunts, 3 3/4 miles W by N of Caxton, and 4 E by S of St Neots station on the G.N.R. It has a post office under St Neots; money order and telegraph office, St Neots. Acreage, 1909; population, 284. Croxton Park, the seat of the Newton family, is a large mansion standing in a park of about 100 acres. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Ely; gross yearly value, £252 with residence. The church is a small but ancient building of stone in the Perpendicular style.
