Boxworth, a parish in Cambridgeshire, 4 miles SW of Swavesey station on the G.E.R., and 5 SSE of St Ives, Hunts. It has a post and money order office; telegraph office, Swavesey. Acreage, 2602 ; population, 274. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Ely; gross value, £610 with residence. The church has a monument of Sanderson, the blind professor of mathematics, and is an ancient building of flint in the Decorated style.
