Description
Shabbington, a parish, with a village, in Buckinghamshire, on the borders of Oxfordshire, and on the river Thame, 2 1/2 miles W by N of Thame station on the G.W.R. Post town and money order and telegraph office, Thame. Acreage, 1630; population of the civil parish, 298; of the ecclesiastical, 302. The manor belongs to the Blunt family. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Oxford; gross value, £470 with residence. The church is an ancient building of stone in the Decorated style, and there is a Wesleyan chapel.
