Description
Eaton Hastings, a parish in Berks, on the river Isis, 3 miles NW of Faringdon station on the G.W.R., and 4 1/2 from Lechlade, on the Fairford and Oxford line. Post town and money order and telegraph office, Faringdon. Acreage, 1570 ; population, 157. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Oxford; net yearly value, £256 with residence. The church is of the 15th century, and has been well restored.
